Getting To Know Warwick Baptist Church

Our Vision Story

During His earthly ministry, Jesus poured life and truth into twelve disciples. But He wasn’t simply teaching them, He was preparing them for a mission. One that would change the world forever. We believe this provides us with both a model and a purpose for authentic Christian discipleship. Those first disciples were equipped, and then sent out, to fan a flame that was set by the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost. A Flame that has not been quenched in over 2000 years; and will remain ablaze until Christ’s appointed return. Read More

Services

Sunday morning s we have Bible Study and Worship Service.

9:45am – 10:45am

Our first hour is for our Bible Study groups. During this hour there is a small that meets for every age group from nursery to middle and high schoolers and also a multiple groups for adults. This is a time where you and any of your family can learn about what God’s word says and engage in a conversation about how that truth impacts your life.

11:00am

Our worship service usually starts with 2-3 songs led by our worship team. We sing both contemporary and traditional songs (with a contemporary flare). We have an opening prayer led by one of our church leaders followed by a few more worship songs. After this, we enjoy Gods word through the sermon. The worship service also concludes with a song.

Common Questions

Short answer….NO! Though there are some people who love this sort of thing, there are many who find this very uncomfortable. The last thing we want to do is embarrass anyone. We will not ask you to stand to identify you as a visitor. The only thing we will ask of our guests is to please fill out a card we provide and drop it into the offering plate in the back of the sanctuary. No standing and no great big “I’m New” badges. Just a warm greeting from a few people who are really glad to meet you.

We are really just thrilled you are joining us. We want you to be comfortable when you come, so you should really just wear whatever you feel is comfortable and appropriate. You will see people dressed in everything from jeans and a tee shirt, slacks, or casual and business casual. There really isn’t a norm other than being comfortable. Even the pastors will wear jeans.
We love children and believe choosing to attend church with them is a blessing. You should never feel uncomfortable about keeping your children with you during our worship service. Still, we also know that sometimes they just can’t seem to contain all that energy, which keeps you from getting the most out of the worship time. For nursery aged children, infant to kindergarten, and 1st through 5th grade, you can check them in to the children’s area where qualified members will care for them while you attend the worship service.
